RCC - Horizon Forbidden West Guide - IGN (2024)

The RCC Datapoints are all related to the Regional Control Center, otherwise known as The Base in the Whitewash Mountains. As such, all these Datapoints are found inside it. This page of IGN's Horizon Forbidden West guide details how to find all of the RCC Datapoints.

01 - Common Language?

• Prerequisite: Acquire Omega Clearance from the Isle of Spires
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

You can find this Datapoint next to one of the beds in the sleeping area, which is the Northern-most part of The Base.

02 - Psiclops

• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

Located in the main holographic chamber of The Base facility in the Whitewash Mountains. Locate the terminal and then interact with it to get the Datapoint.

03 - About HEPHAESTUS

• Prerequisite: Complete the “Cradle of Echoes” Main Quest
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in The Base, but isn’t unlocked until you complete the “Cradle of Echoes” Main Quest.

Once you do, head to the basement server area. Check inside the server ring in the middle of the room, and you’ll find it in a small alcove on the South end of the ring.

04 - HEPHAESTUS Revisited

• Prerequisite: Complete all Main Quests
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in The Base, but isn't unlocked until you've completed all Main Quests and finished the story.

Once you do this, you'll find this Datapoint in the main hub area, on the corner of the bar-like desk.

05 - Log: Kelani Jenson

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base - Secret Vault

This Datapoint is found inside the Secret Vault in The Base, which you cannot enter until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest, which unlocks the last Datapoint needed to piece together the password.

Once you’ve input the password and entered the Secret Vault, this will be on the middle-left pedestal.

06 - Fayna Leon

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base - Secret Vault

This Datapoint is found inside the Secret Vault in The Base, which you cannot enter until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest, which unlocks the last Datapoint needed to piece together the password.

Once you’ve input the password and entered the Secret Vault, this will be on the middle-right pedestal.

07 - Emma Irving

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base - Secret Vault

This Datapoint is found inside the Secret Vault in The Base, which you cannot enter until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest, which unlocks the last Datapoint needed to piece together the password.

Once you’ve input the password and entered the Secret Vault, this will be on the middle-most pedestal.

08 - David Makuto

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base - Secret Vault

This Datapoint is found inside the Secret Vault in The Base, which you cannot enter until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest, which unlocks the last Datapoint needed to piece together the password.

Once you’ve input the password and entered the Secret Vault, this will be on the right-most pedestal.

09 - Ethan Reed

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base - Secret Vault

This Datapoint is found inside the Secret Vault in The Base, which you cannot enter until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest, which unlocks the last Datapoint needed to piece together the password.

Once you’ve input the password and entered the Secret Vault, this will be on the left-most pedestal.

10 - I: A Little Flourish

• Prerequisite: Retrieve one subservient AI
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in The Base, but as noted above, it isn’t available until you retrieve one of the subservient AIs: AETHER, DEMETER or POSEIDON.

Once you do, head into the newly unlocked games room in the North-North-East part of the base. In the back-left corner, look for a vent cover you can yank off with the Pullcaster. Head through the duct to find a secret room, with this Datapoint on the table to your right.

11 - II: Caterpillars and Chrysalises

• Prerequisite: Retrieve any two subservient AIs
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in The Base, but as noted above, it isn’t available until you retrieve at least two of the subservient AIs: AETHER, DEMETER or POSEIDON.

Once you’ve done this, GAIA will have been able to unlock a new room, to the left of Aloy’s quarters. It’ll be marked with a green leaf hologram above the door. Head inside and check the shelves on the right-hand wall behind the desk to find it.

12 - III: The Vault

• Prerequisite: Retrieve three subservient AIs
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in The Base, but as noted above, it isn’t available until you retrieve three of the subservient AIs: AETHER, DEMETER and POSEIDON.

Once you do, head downstairs to the basement and look for the new room GAIA unlocked (Aloy will point it out). The Datapoint will be here sitting in the corner on a table.

13 - Repair Bay Log

• Prerequisite: Retrieve three subservient AIs
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in The Base, but is part of the activity of restoring full power to the base and finding the Vault underneath. You’ll be able to access it at Step 3, unlocked after retrieving three of the subservient AIs: AETHER, DEMETER or POSEIDON.

Once you’ve done that, take the stairs down to the Basement and go through the door on your left (the right-hand one will be to the server room). Head to the back of the room and look for a vent panel you can pull down with the Pullcaster.

Head into the duct and you should see an Energy Cell you can pick up in the corner. Drop down the ladder, then take the next two doors to go to the server room. Head to the back-right room (past the locked door) and plug the Energy Cell into the socket here to get the Datapoint!

14 - On the Regional Control Center

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest.
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in the North-West room of The Base’s basement, which isn’t unlocked until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest.

When you enter the room, look for it in the back-right corner, behind the hologram.

15 - To Aloy

• Prerequisite: Complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest.
• Location: Whitewash Mountains - The Base

This Datapoint is found in the North-West room of The Base’s basement, which isn’t unlocked until you complete the “All That Remains” Interlude Quest.

It’ll be sitting on some crates right in front of you as you enter the room.
